BJ'S HAPPY GOATS HISTORY My husband Bill & I have been married for 29 years. We have two grown sons, Michael 25 yrs & Brandon 22 yrs old. Brandon just got married to Kristy (Skero) in Feburary of this year. They moved to Porter, Texas which is about 12 miles from us.
I have two quarter horse geldings, 1 potbellied pig (who's picture is on my main page, the pygmy taxi), 1 cat, 3 squirrel's, and of course 84 pygmy goats.
I started raising pygmies in 1989 when a friend gave me a pair of unregistered goats. They were the old style with the long legs and thin bodies but I loved them all and their personalities. In a few years after visiting with a friend and seeing registered stock, I decided that was the direction I wanted to go. Over a period of time, I sold off my unregistered stock and replaced them with registered pygmies except for one doe, Cry Baby, who will be 11 yrs old in May of 2000. I have made selected purchases and strive to improve my herd with each kidding. I have Whirlwind Farms, Desert Sun, Picaroon, Hickory Ridge, Blanton's Tin Acres and Glen Mar Pygmies bloodlines in my herd. I have met so many nice people through the pygmy goat organizations and I hope to meet many more. I hope you have enjoyed my web site and drop me an e-mail or give me a call sometime.

Still have goats, but only about 65 now. Have not shown is several years now and trying to sell down to just a few x-bottle babies and old pets. Lost my pig a few years back, and both horses this last year.
Brandon and Kristy have had two boys, Owen 5 and Jake 7. Michael married Amanda a few years back and they have a 4 month old baby girl - Chloe, and a 7 year old boy, Elija.
